Reinforced Fire Retardant Polythene Laminate
SEEKURE 830 is a waterproof flame retardant polyethylene reinforced with woven polypropylene
and bonded with polyethylene to give a flame retardant laminate meeting the requirements of LPS
1207 : Issue 1 - Loss Prevention Standard - Fire Requirements for Protective Covering Materials.
This product is used where fire risk is a factor - lining paint spray booths, carpet protection on
ships and aircraft during servicing and protection where welding and grinding operations are
carried out. It is also suitable more generally in building and construction applications where the
consequences of fire could be dangerous or costly.
Construction
A laminated structure with-
- Flame retardant polyethylene film to give good strength and stiffness and low flame
spread characteristics
- Woven polypropylene tape reinforcing to give tear resistance
- Laminated with polyethylene to give flexibility, wide range of temperature resistance and
good durability
